A clear agreement.
Before we begin.

Request, acceptance and confirmation

The weekly schedule and any additional times opened by David are shown in Calgary time (America/Edmonton), with at least 48 hours notice. A preferred-time or quote request does not reserve an appointment. When online checkout is offered, the time is held during checkout and, after a successful deposit, for David’s review. Payment does not confirm an appointment or guarantee acceptance.

David reviews the scope and contacts you to accept the request or discuss another arrangement. After acceptance, you must confirm at least 24 hours before the appointment, using the private confirmation link or directly with David. Opening a link alone does not confirm an appointment.

If confirmation is missing at the deadline, the appointment requires review and may need to be rescheduled. A notification failure does not automatically cancel the appointment. Please contact David if you have not heard back.

Rates, coverage and extra time

All prices are in CAD, plus applicable tax. Each on-site visit starts at CAD 149 for the first 60 minutes of network diagnosis; additional approved time in that same visit is CAD 119 per hour. A two-hour on-site session is CAD 268. Each remote session starts at CAD 99 for the first 60 minutes; additional approved time in that same session is CAD 89 per hour. A two-hour remote session is CAD 188.

There is a one-hour minimum for each visit or remote session. After that, time is billed in 15-minute blocks: CAD 29.75 on site or CAD 22.25 remotely, rounded up to the next block. A new appointment, including a return visit, starts again at the first-hour rate for its service type. Extensions depend on availability and must be approved before work continues. Pre-booked two-hour sessions reserve two hours at the stated total.

The on-site rate includes normal travel to a site within a straight-line 25 km radius of Calgary Tower, our downtown reference point. The service clock starts on arrival; included travel does not reduce your diagnostic hour. David checks the site location before scheduling. Sites outside that radius require a separate travel and service quote approved before a deposit or visit; the advertised local rate does not automatically apply. Any unusual site-access costs are disclosed and agreed in advance.

The diagnostic covers investigation, written findings and recommended next steps. Resolution is not guaranteed within the session. Repairs or configuration changes require approval and use the agreed paid service time; additional time, equipment, licences, subscriptions, cabling, events and larger projects are separately agreed. Existing accepted quotes keep their agreed terms.

Remote support and first-visit setup

Remote support requires a working Internet connection, compatible equipment and authorised access. The initial compatibility and connection check takes place before any charge or deposit. If those prerequisites cannot be met, no remote service fee is charged; an on-site visit or alternative scope can be quoted. Once you approve and start a compatible session, troubleshooting time is billable even when the issue cannot be resolved remotely. A new visit is a separate service, discussed before proceeding.

During a paid local visit, David can assess and, where feasible within the agreed time, enable secure remote access with your permission. This is optional and uses paid service time; extra work, hardware or subscriptions need separate approval. Setup is not guaranteed to fit within the first hour. Access remains under your control, and no ongoing support contract is required. Remote service does not include continuous monitoring, unlimited support or emergency response. Physical faults and complete outages may still require attendance.

BETTERWIFI launch offer

The first 100 eligible quote or diagnostic requests submitted with code BETTERWIFI include one 60-minute initial network diagnostic at no service charge. The offer is for businesses at a site within a straight-line 25 km radius of Calgary Tower, once per business; normal local travel is included. It applies to an on-site diagnostic and cannot be combined with remote support pricing. Enter the code when requesting a quote or choosing the 60-minute diagnostic. A request number records your place; David confirms eligibility and scope before scheduling. The same email cannot claim a second offer. A quote request does not reserve a calendar appointment.

The diagnostic covers investigation and recommended next steps within 60 minutes. It does not include repairs, remote-access setup, extended troubleshooting, equipment, subscriptions, structured cabling, site surveys, event network design or project delivery. Any additional work or charges must be quoted and approved separately. Approved extra on-site time immediately after the free diagnostic is CAD 119/h in 15-minute blocks, subject to availability. A later visit starts at CAD 149; a separate compatible remote session starts at CAD 99. There is no obligation to buy further services. Use of the code with a project request applies only to an eligible initial business network diagnostic, not to the project itself.

CAD 5 appointment deposit

A CAD 5 deposit is required to finalize a scheduled appointment. It is credited toward a standard paid service. For an eligible BETTERWIFI diagnostic, the full CAD 5 is returned after attendance, so the diagnostic remains free. DR WiFi absorbs payment processing costs associated with that return.

When online checkout is available, card payment is handled on Stripe’s secure hosted checkout. DR WiFi does not receive your full card number. If checkout is not offered, the form sends a preferred-time request only: no appointment is reserved and no money is collected on this website. David will discuss availability and the deposit with you before booking.

Changes and cancellations

Contact David as soon as possible to change or cancel. If DR WiFi declines or cancels an appointment, your deposit is returned in full. Customer cancellations made at least 24 hours before the appointment are also refundable. For cancellations within 24 hours or non-attendance, the CAD 5 deposit may be retained. No further cancellation fee is charged through this website. Refunds are initiated by David and are subject to the payment provider’s processing time. The deposit does not replace the appointment acceptance and confirmation steps.

Access and service limits

You must be authorised to request work on the network and to provide the necessary access. Share credentials only through a secure method agreed with David, not through the booking form. Work is by appointment at the times available in the live calendar, in Calgary time. Emergency response and 24/7 support are not included.

Backup Internet, backup power and data recovery address different risks. A recommendation for one does not include the others unless they are explicitly part of the agreed scope.

Projects, events and specialist partners

Event consulting, structured cabling, racks, servers, multi-site and other special projects require a separate agreed scope. Capacity targets, deliverables, responsibilities, support hours, equipment, procurement and any subcontracted work are confirmed before delivery. Attendance forecasts alone do not establish simultaneous user capacity.
